Choices in Mission
Choices in Mission is designed to offer members multiple opportunities to financially support mission outreach. The Council and Service group designate some of the choices. Members are free to bring forward other missions for consideration. This offers members the opportunity to choose what outreach missions to support, and to highlight missions they would like to share with the First Lutheran community. Donations are matched up to a set threshold from the Mission support fund.
Some Choices in Mission opportunities from the past include: ELCA disaster relief, IHP, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, a local group supporting families living on the edge with laundry services, God’s Global Barnyard, and ELCA overseas farm support ministry.
